Jeremy McConnell has suffered a devastating loss as his father has died following a battle with cancer.

The Celebrity Big Brother star lost his father just weeks after becoming a dad himself to baby Caben-Albi with on-off girlfriend Stephanie Davis.

The 27-year-old former MTV Beauty School Cop Outs received the tragic news on Friday.

A spokesperson for Jeremy confirmed the sad news to the Metro on Saturday.

“On Friday 3rd March Jeremy McConnell’s father passed away after a short battle with cancer,” the spokesperson said.

“We ask that Jeremy is given space and privacy at this incredibly sad time,” they added.

Jeremy has suffered a huge amount of family tragedy ever since his mother died when he was just 15-years-old.

He also lost his brother and sister within months of his mum passing – with his brother dying in a motorbike accident and his sister having a heart attack.

“Of course I miss them, I loved them dearly, but I think that’s what levelled me out a bit,” the star said of his previous tragedies.

“I express myself the way I want to. I just grew up really fast,” he added.

Last month, Jeremy was confirmed as the father of Caben-Albi following months of speculation after Stephanie Davis fell pregnant.

The TV star shared a cute photo of himselfcradling his baby son over the weekend.
