Jessica Alba Says She's Addicted To Acting: "It's Like A Drug"
The Sin City stunner has been on screens since she was 13...
Jessica Alba has admitted she is addicted to acting, explaining: “It’s like a drug!”
Jessica, who plays cover girl for Nylon’s March issue, told the mag: “"It's been liberating to be able to play someone who's a badass or promiscuous because that's the opposite of who I am.”
"I don't have to be a boss; I don't have to be a wife; I don't have to be a sister," she explained of the escapism acting affords her.
The star, who got her big break on TV show Dark Angel, said of her career choices: “I've played a lot of leading-lady types; they were sweet, aspirational, not terribly complicated people.”
“I need to make sure I had staying power, so I went after tentpole movies that were going to be big and global.”
Jessica added: “I really just want to work with directors who I think are cool, and on movies that I think are fun and characters that I think are interesting, whether that's an indie or a big movie."
And the actress, who played a superhero in 2005’s Fantastic Four, has enjoyed learning some new skills on the job: "I know how to ride a motorcycle, I can do wire work like you see in circuses. I can shoot a gun. I know how to fight, too."
