Jessica Simpson has turned down the chance to meet President Bush.
She was invited to a Republican fundraising event last week, where she was lined up for a private meet and greet with Bush, reports MTV.com.
But she turned it down, because she was concerned about her favourite charity, Operation Smile, which offers free plastic surgery to children with facial deformities, becoming political.
