Jessie J Confirmed As Coach On 'The Voice'
Following her stint on The X Factor, she will be a judge the new show...
The Price Tag hitmaker told BBC Radio DJ Chris Moyles that The Voice will have four coaches, who will both act as judges and mentors, and will pick ten hopefuls after not seeing the acts when they perform in a series of 'blind auditions.'
The 23-year old went on to praise the audition process, telling Moyles: "I do think sometimes that a lot of people don't audition for these shows because... they don't feel they look like a popstar. I can't wait, I'm so excited about it."
Controller of BBC One, Danny Cohen said in a statement: "Jessie J is going to be an amazing coach on The Voice UK. She's a massive young star with a strong personality, and her recent MOBO nominations are testament to her musical and creative ability."
Jessie also stated: "I'm excited to be a coach, inspiration and mentor and I jumped at the opportunity as it's all about 'the voice'."
It is thought that the other coaches will be confirmed over the next few months, with The Voice hitting TV screens next Spring.
Jessie also recently tried her hand at judging after appearing on The X Factor, acting as a guest mentor at Judges' Houses with Tulisa Contostavlos.
