Jessie J has publicly insisted that the only way she'll cover The Boy Is Mine is if Brandy & Monica do it with her.

The British star had been at the centre of a minor Twitterstorm after it was reported that she and Ariana Grande were set to lay down a version of the 1990s classic to follow their recent joint hit Bang Bang.

There was an outraged reaction from fans and both singers later dissociated themselves from the rumours.

However Jessie's now addressed the story again - and left the way open for a collab with the original artists.

Asked by Digital Spy about the Ariana duet claim, she said: "No, totally made up. No, it's not true, the boy is not mine, the boy is Monica's and Brandy's.

"I spoke to Brandy not that long ago and just said if ever I was going to do it, it would be with both of them if they asked me. You can't beat the best."
