Jessie J Slams Ill Health Rumours On Twitter

The Voice coach is upset the media have speculated about her wellbeing...

Jessie J has hit back at [uuid=d6ab7d2e-971f-4de2-9a49-ff79b18b519f]The Voice is affecting her health, insisting on Twitter that she is "happy and healthy."
Over the weekend, the Daily Star reported that[uuid=d6ab7d2e-971f-4de2-9a49-ff79b18b519f] Jessie was being monitored by doctors[/uuid] over fears that the high-pressure job was causing her stress, referencing her ill health as a teenager where she suffered a stroke, aged just 18.
A source told the tabloid: "Jessie has a history of medical issues and needs to be monitored.
"She works incredibly hard not only on The Voice but also promoting her album around the world.
"Add that to the gruelling touring, personal appearances and recording and it would be a lot for anyone to take."
The Laserlight singer has now slammed the rumours, stating she doesn't appreciate the media speculating about her health.
Jessie tweeted: "Can I be totally honest for a minute? I was in and out of hospital with REAL health scares my whole childhood. I have an irregular heartbeat I've had all my life & I suffered a minor stroke at 18...
"Then I go on The Voice UK & stories are like boomerangs, the media tries to throw them away but just keep coming back. Lazy... It's an easy believable but untrue way the media works."

She continued: "But I will say this. My health is a very important part of my life & I don't take lightly to the media making a joke about it.

"I have made huge sacrifices to making sure my body and mind can deal with my life & I am happy, I am healthy & I am trying to make the UK proud."

The Price Tag hitmaker added: "So to the media, next time you think what negative story can we write today. Go and visit the kids at your local hospital & write about how brave & scared & inspirational they are to let them know they are not alone. Would definately make for a better read (sic).

"For everyone saying ignore it. No I won't. We have to stand up for what we believe in. The media should not be allowed to write untrue articles. If no one ever says anything, it will NEVER change."
