Jessie J Warns She May Never Sing Live Again
The former Voice UK coach may have to result to lip-synching due to health problems…
Doctors have warned Jessie J that she is at serious risk if she doesn’t tone down her performance at live shows and on tour.
The 26-year old star suffers from a heart condition known as Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome, which causes a fast and irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath and can leave her feeling faint or dizzy.
Consequently, the ‘Bang Bang’ hitmaker reveals she may have to mime at future performances, telling The Mirror: “I have prided myself in having got this far without having to lip-sync but if my career carries on moving at the pace that it is, I will have to lip-sync to be able to stay well. My songs are so big.”
The Essex girl went on to add that the condition – which can often be treated with medication or keyhole surgery – affects her “more than people think”.
Despite doctors advising her she should try not to perform high-energy shows, Jessie vowed: “This is what I do.”
Jessie spoke of this before the remaining dates of her Australian tour were cancelled due to illness earlier this week, unrelated to her heart condition.
