Jessie Ware & Gorgon City Crash Cork With MTV!

The MTV Crashes tour found itself in the picturesque Irish city where the crowds did not disappoint...

It was a sleek and stylish affair last night (November 27) when MTV, with the help of Jessie Ware and Gorgon City, popped the bottle and ‘Crashed’ the Irish city of Cork.

The event took place at Cork’s City Hall, which was transformed into a decadent and classy disco, lit up like a Christmas tree. The doors swung open to growing crowds as soon as night fell and anticipation was everywhere.

The London duo smashed it, performing as a live band complete with drummer and three very talented backing singers. The Ready For Your Love beat makers had the whole house cutting shapes, hot stepping and pretty much giving Dublin a run for their money.

Producers Kye and Matt pulled out all the hits for their brilliant set including their new Jennifer Hudson collaborationGo All Night, an old school garage medley and an acid house interlude as well as bringing on vocalist, Zak Abel to sing Unmissable.

A swift change of set and the stage was set for the soulful and stylish Jessie Ware who graced the stage with her breakthrough track, Running, which still sounds as fresh as ever.

Wearing an elegant black outfit with sheer cape, the Tough Love singer looked at home in the grand City Hall building, mesmerising the crowd with her powerful voice and ballads from her latest album and Devotion.

All in all a hugely successful night, a massive thanks to Cork City Council who really made Crashes the place to be and also our mainstay Club MTV DJs Varski&R3wire who kept the party going long into the night.

Thanks to Jessie, Gorgon Cityand both their hugely talented bands and most of all thank you to everyone who attended and made it another MTV Crashes to remember.
