A teaser trailer has been released for a new project by JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot.
Titled simply "stranger", the mysterious one-minute promo clip features a portentous voiceover and sparse black-and-white footage of a man crawling ashore on a beach at night.

The voiceover intones: "He arrived knowing nothing of himself. Who is he? Soon, he will know. Because what begins at the water shall end there. And what ends there shall once more begin.
"This is what happens when we come lost. Men vanish, men are erased - and reborn."
It closes with the caption: "Soon he will know."
Abrams, who made his name with the famously opaque TV drama Lost, has not elaborated on the teaser - but it is unlikely to be for Star Wars Episode VII (which he is directing).
Disney recently [uuid=4d4d66e6-adcc-4a21-9e72-759f6b8c98df]denied that Abrams was leaving[/uuid] the project.
