JLS star JB Gill has married his girlfriend of six years, Chloe Tangney in Scotland on Saturday (3 May).

The newlyweds shared the news with fans on social media following their bank holiday nuptials.

JB tweeted that he was the "happiest man on the planet".

After sharing messages of congratulations, the singer thanked fans and guests for wishing him well on "the best day of his life".

Chloe - who's changed her Twitter name to Chloe Gill - tweeted: "I married the man of my dreams yesterday! Had the best day of my life!! I can now officially say I am Mrs Chloe Gill @JBGill xx".

JB's bandmates also took to the site to congratulate the happy couple after the ceremony.

Marvin Humes, who walked down the aisle last year with The Saturdays star Rochelle Wiseman, tweeted: "Huge congrats 2mybro @JBGill & his beautiful wife @ChloeTangney an amazing wedding day,so proud (Chloe u have 2change ur twitter name now)x"

Fellow bandmate Aston Merrygold shared his well-wishes with fans on the site.

He responded to JB's tweet with: "AMAZING that's all that can be said! Hopefully a life filled with even more happiness and joy! Always love x".
