JLS Stand By Decision To Cancel T4 On The Beach Gig

EXCLUSIVE | The lads tell MTV.co.uk they take their music very seriously...

JLShave defended their decision to [uuid=d683650d-9da5-41c3-b6ff-4fb7360f8679]cancel a scheduled performance[/uuid] at T4 On The Beach earlier this month, exclusively telling MTV.co.uk that it's "very important" for them to sing live.
[uuid=d683650d-9da5-41c3-b6ff-4fb7360f8679]As we previously reported[/uuid], the She Makes Me Wanna singers were forced to scrap their set at the event in Weston-super-Mare because of "production problems" after being denied a soundcheck.

Speaking of their choice to pull the performance, Marvin Humes revealed: "It’s a very difficult gig for sound because your 50 yards out from the main stage and your on a beach so there’s no where for sound to bounce off, so its very difficult to hear yourself."
"For us, it was imperative that we had a sound check and rehearsal time, but unfortunately it wasn't given to us. Also, for cameras we were meant to have half an hour rehearsal/sound check and we didn’t have that - we literally had two or three minutes."
JB continued: "It's not just for us, we also have dancers for our set and we were learning different dance routines and you’ve got to understand, as well we need to have our own sound between the four of us and what we hear, what the dancers hear are two different things, especially if your on a walk way that's 50 yards out."
He added: "It's important as a professional act that we take our music very seriously and we are able to use our ability and perform to the best of our ability, that’s why we had to pull out."
