Joan Rivers In Her Final Interview: "I Never Take A Break. I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead”

Joan Rivers has revealed in one of her final interviews that she rarely took a break from work, showing no sign of stopping her feisty approach to life.

The comedian tragically passed away at the age of 81 yesterday, after suffering a heart attack during an operation on her vocal chords last week and slipping into a coma.

'I'm that moron who always walks up the stairs – I won't use the elevator,' Rivers told Closer magazine, just 48 hours before her operation.

On her busy work schedule, she revealed: “I’ve had periods in my life when I wasn’t famous and no one would give me a show so now I never take a break. I’ll sleep when I’m dead…”

She was also said to of spoken excitedly about her upcoming UK tour, which was set to start next month, as well as how proud she was of her daughter Melissa.
