Joan Rivers 'On Life Support In Hospital'
Family vigil as veteran comedienne relies on machine to keep her alive...
Joan Rivers is reported to still be on life support after suffering a heart attack during a surgical procedure last week.
The 81-year-old star was undergoing surgery on her vocal chords on Thursday when she stopped breathing - and was rushed from the clinic to nearby Mount Sinai Hospital.
But while she was described as "comfortable" afterwards, it has now been reported that she was placed in a medically induced coma and is still reliant on a life support machine.
The Mirror newspaper reports that sources say her daughter Melissa and family are hoping she gets better, but otherwise will "have to consider turning off her life support if the situation does not improve".
The mole said that Rivers would want "a full and active life" and "would never want to be a burden on anyone".
