Kathy Griffin To Replace Joan Rivers On Fashion Police?
The comedienne is reportedly joining Kelly Osbourne and co. on the much-loved E! style show…
Kathy Griffin has signed a deal to replace Joan Rivers on hit E! TV show Fashion Police, TMZ report, with the style panel programme being reduced from a weekly affair to “during awards shows and other occasions as event programming.”
TMZ say that comedienne Kathy will join Joan’s daughter Melissa Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic, while it’s not yet known if George Kotsiopoulos will return to Fashion Police.
As a friend of Joan’s, perhaps Kathy could go some way towards continuing her raucous behaviour, though no one will ever truly replace the hilariously scathing fashion critic.
A source told US Weekly, "Joan has always given her blessing to Kathy" and she "wanted Kathy to be her successor."
"They talked about it many times," said the source. "They have such a similar sense of humor and were the best of friends. Joan would have loved seeing Kathy on Fashion Police and she would have definitely approved."
Kathy has previously confirmed to Access Hollywood that she was offered the role, but didn’t know “if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time."
