What is an Internship?
The Internship Programme is essentially a training and development opportunity to provide individuals with insight into our industry, to learn about the company and gain work experience within a supportive environment.

Do I qualify for an Internship?
MTVNE is committed to diversity and maintaining an inclusive environment. There is no specific education background required for the programme. MTVNE's aim is to employ individuals from differing ages, skills, backgrounds and experiences. Successful candidates will be selected based on required criteria dependant for each placement. You must be eligible to work in the UK and you will be asked during the final interview stage to produce formal documentation showing this.

How long do Internships last?
The Internships last for a period of six months non - renewable - even if in a different part of the business. This allows us to provide opportunities to the many candidates who wish to take up an internship at MTV.

Where are the Internships based?
All of our internships are UK based. We have three offices located in London based in Oxford Street and Camden.

What is the salary of an Intern?
The basic salary of an intern is £14,560 per annum paid monthly. This is paid part in advance and part in arrears on or about the 15th of each month.

Are Interns entitled to holiday pay?
Yes, all interns are entitled to 11.5 days holiday for a six month contract.

Are the Internships full - time positions?
Yes, Interns are expected to work during MTV's normal business hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an hour unpaid break for lunch.

When do the Internships start?
Our Internship programme recruits throughout the year and therefore placements can commence at any time in the year.

Can I apply for more than one Internship at a time?
Yes, you can apply for as many intern positions as you like, however you are only ever able to undertake one.

What happens if I apply for an Internship but am unsuccessful?
If you apply for an internship and are unsuccessful you can still re - apply for other positions as and when they are advertised.

When can I apply for an Internship?
Internships are advertised as and when available so therefore it is advised to only apply when you can commit to working full time for a six month period.

What benefits are Interns entitled to?
MTV understands that all of it's employees are different and as a result we have recently launched MTV Benefit Store. This is designed to give you the freedom to match your benefits to your own circumstances and life style.

Each employee is allocated a core range of benefits such as pension, healthcare and holidays etc. You can then choose to "trade" these up or down depending on what suits you best.

There minimum levels of cover for most of the core benefits and there are also some voluntary and discounted benefits that you can select at an additional cost such as tax - free bikes and childcare vouchers.

If you decide to "flex down" any of your core benefits the cash equivalent may be taken instead. This will be included in your normal monthly payment via payroll and will be subject to tax and national insurance deductions. However, the cash equivalent will not be regarded as part of your salary for the purpose of calculating holiday pay etc.

All permanent, full time and part time employees who have completed 3 months service are eligible.
