Joe Jonas has explained why he wrote [uuid=24f6b17e-d708-4b0a-9fdf-0e9c6dc3b1a4]Miley CyrusandDemi Lovato, and lost his virginity at the age of 20.

“It was just stuff I wanted to speak about,” the middle Jonas Brother told Radio.com. “I think it was a fun, relieving way of doing that.”

“It’s stuff you can’t necessarily put in songs, sometimes, so it was fun to express to people my personal journey.”

“I don’t think there was much planning involved in that other than the fact it was just something I wanted to do over a long time,” added Joe. “There’s no master plan behind it or anything like that.”

Reactions to the piece have been mixed, he admitted: “I’ve heard quite a few positive reactions and a couple of negative. But for me it’s fine. I wrote this for myself and wrote it out there so people can get a little bit more of a picture of what my life was like.”

But the 24 year-old singer was more worried about his parents’ reading his revelations than anyone else. “I think, something like this, it’s sensitive to talk about with anyone close to you, because the content sometimes can be a little bit jarring when you first read it ‘cause it’s so open.”

“But at the end of the day my parents know who I am and they know everything that’s in there already and I guess you could say they’re proud of their son so they were cool with it.”
