Rage Against The Machine are still ahead of Joe McElderry in the race to be Christmas number one- the latest figures show.
The group’s Killing In The Name Of is currently beating The Climb by around 36,000 copies.
Yesterday RATM were further ahead, but physical copies of the X Factor winner’s track went on sale on Wednesday too.
Rage’ caused controversy today when they swore whilst performing on live radio.
The US group were playing Killing In The Name Of on 5 Live and included the line “F**k you I won’t do what you told me” despite, er, being told not to.
They were soon cut off by presenter Shelagh Fogarty who said: “Sorry. We needed to get rid of that because that suddenly turned in to something we were not expecting…
“We asked them not to do it and they did it anyway - so buy Joe's record.”
