YouTuber Joe Sugg Joins The Line Up For Strictly Come Dancing 2018
Prepare to have to explain to your grandma what a vlogger is.
Now that the heat wave has disappeared it’s time to get excited for winter. We’re thinking chunky knits, pumpkin spice lattes and, of course, Strictly Come Dancing.
With training for the show starting this month, the cast of celeb contestants is starting to be announced. And guess what? This year it includes Joe, brother of fellow influencer Zoella.
Swapping the vlogging camera for his dancing shoes, Joe joins activist Katie Piper, Steps singer Faye Tozer and actor Danny John-Jules on the line up, with more celebs to be announced in due course.
“My knowledge of dance isn’t the best, so I’m just going into it completely open minded,” Joe says.
And how is he feeling about squeezing himself into skin tight lycra following the famed Strictly makeover?
“I do feel pretty nervous about it,” Joe confesses. “I just hope they have child sizes as I’m tiny!”
Fans seem pretty excited about the news and have been all over Twitter sharing the love for the Joe bombshell.
However, as with anything relating to YouTubers, there’s always a fair share of people who aren’t too happy – mainly because they don’t think vloggers represent ‘traditional’ ideas of celebs. And because they aren't the target audience for vloggers, they have no real clue who Joe is.
But, as a fair few Twitter users have pointed out, this seems a little misguided. The guy is hella famous.
Sorry grandma but it’s 2018. Wake up and smell the Wi-Fi code already.
