Chrissy Teigen Has Some Thoughts About John Legend Being Cast In Jesus Christ Superstar
This is an angle that nobody ever considered.
Chrissy Teigen was never going to offer up a straightforward congratulations to John Legend after hearing he’d been cast in Jesus Christ Superstar which is why we’re none too surprised by her typically hilarious response.
The NBC production is set to air at some point in 2018 and John has been confirmed as the lead role. That’s right, actual Jesus Christ. NBD.
Let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...
But Chrissy has already thought ahead to some potential problems the stage crew could have with this casting, pointing out that John might struggle to fit his fully-grown body into a tiny manger.
Luckily John has the perfect solution tucked up his sleeve and pointed out that one of the multiple babies who look like him could easily step into the role. There’s also the option of hiring cartoon Arthur if all else fails.
Discussing his role in the production, John told Entertainment Weekly: “I’m thrilled to join the cast of this production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!,
“It’s such a powerful, meaningful musical and I’m humbled to be part of this performance. We’ve already formed an incredible team, and, as we finish casting, I’m certain we will put together some of the greatest talents around to do this work justice.”
Congratulations, John!
