John Newman 'Expressing His Heart & Soul On New LP'

John Newman has exclusively revealed to Rudimental smash hit Feel The Love and gave him the opening to release his own music and aim for that coveted top spot.

 

When asked about the possibility of his solo tune reaching No.1, John stated: “It would be amazing! I mean I’ve done it before with the Rudimental guys but to do it with Love Me Again  - which is me expressing my heart and my soul - it’s amazing.” 

 

 

The soul singer has been working hard on putting his own stamp on the music industry, revealing: 

“Regarding production, it’s kind of like everything that I always wanted to make and it feels like the song I wanted to make and that’s the same with the album, all my influences in one so that’s why it makes me so happy to listen to it.” 

 

Not only has the song got a love story but the music video depicts one of the world’s classic love stories, with Newman explaining: “I wrote the treatment for it and the storyline and I had a vision for a Romeo and Juliet thing and I wanted it to be a timeless thing.” 

 

But not shying far from his own roots, Newman added his own twist into the video: “I just thought Romeo and Juliet in a soul club.”

 

Newman’s next step this summer is being a regular on the festival circuit – adding that he’s looking forward to V Festival, stating: “That’s really up there and a very very buzzy gig. I’m really excited for it.”
