Jonah Hill and James Franco will be among the comedy stars on the voice cast for Seth Rogen's adult-orientated animated film Sausage Party, it is reported.

TheWrap claims that Rogen, Franco, Hill, Michael Cera and David Krumholtz - who worked together on apocalyptic comedy This Is The End - will perform the lead roles in the raunchy movie.

And Kristen Wiig and Edward Norton are among the other stars reported to have been recruited for Rogen's project.

TheWrap summarises the movie thus: "'Sausage Party' follows one heroic piece of meat's quest to discover the truth about his existence.

"After falling out of a shopping cart, the sausage protagonist teams up with some new friends to embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket and return to their aisles before the Fourth of July sale."

The movie is being handled by Sony Pictures and is set for release next year.
