Wossy's Chat Show Back With Chezza And Mel B
Jonathan Ross returns to ITV this eve with X Factor judges and a Hollywood star...
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B are helping Jonathan Ross kick off the new series of his ITV chat show this evening.
The X Factor judges will be joined by Hollywood star Steve Carrell, wildlife documentary legend Sir David Attenborough and singer Paolo Nutini on the ITV show.
And viewers will see Wossy and Chezza trade quips about her name change, with the pop star giving as good as she gets.
Wossy says: "I just got used to calling you Cole after Tweedy and now it's Versini-Fernandez!"
To which she replies: "You know what's funny is, you and I are on first name terms now right? So I don't say 'Hi Jonathan Woss'... So therefore, there really is no need to say 'Cheryl Fernandez-Versini', so really we can just call each other Jonathan and Cheryl."
She refused to say what French words her new hubby Jean-Bernard has been teaching her, prompting Wossy to enquire whether it was because they were too saucy.
And she answered: "I couldn't possibly reveal."
Ooh la la!
Mel B told him that she wasn't afraid to be blunt with contestants on The X Factor, because she felt she had benefitted from overcoming criticism in her own career.
"Oh yeah, back in the day there was no mincing of words. 'You are too fat, too black, too this, too that,' I mean I got everything," she began. "It makes you really tough.
"It made me a fighter, it made me believe in myself because nobody else did."
And the duo even hinted that there could be a collaboration in the offing between them.
"We did speak about that the other day," Mel admitted.
And Cheryl teased: "Watch this space!"
The show will be aired at 10.20pm this evening on ITV.
