Joss Stone "Absolutely Fine" After Murder Plot

Joss Stone has broken her silence after two men were arrested and charged with planning to rob and commit grievous bodily harm against the star.

As we previously reported, two men in their thirties were picked up by police near Stone's country home in Devon on Tuesday night and were caught with swords, rope and a body bag on their persons.

Police confirmed yesterday: "As a result of enquiries the two males are now being detained for the further offences of conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to murder. Major crime detectives are continuing to investigate."

The two men have since been identified as Kevin Liverpool and Junior Bradshaw from Manchester, and have been charged with the offence of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and rob the UK soul singer.

The Fell In Love With A Boy hitmaker has issued a statement regarding the incident, claiming: "I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue their enquiries.”

Commenting on Liverpool and Bradshaw's arrest, a friend of Stone's also told The Mirror: “On the outside she’s insisting that she’s fine but inside she is just in pieces. This is something that’s shocked her to the core. She can’t get her head around it."

They added: “Joss is praying it’s nothing but she’s rattled, to say the least. She knows she’s in the public eye and is the focus of attention but this is just too much."

The 24-year old is also said to have told the pal: "This is ­something out of a horror film. This can’t be happening to me.”

Both men will appear before Exeter Magistrates' Court this morning.
