Justin Bieber and pal Austin Mahone have been the victims of an online prank, after an image of them supposedly kissing emerged on the web.

According to Gossip Cop, a fake news site reported that JB announced on Twitter he was "bi", before posting a snap of himself sharing a smooch with 'new boyfriend' Mahone at a recording studio.

The snap and deleted tweet - which was attributed to Bieber's official account - was accompanied by the caption: "Meet my new boyfriend. I’m Bi, so what? f*ck what anyone thinks."

Huzlers.com, who first posted the pic, then quotes the Boyfriend singer as telling reporters: "I don’t care what anyone thinks, After what happened with Selena and me, I decided to try guys too, and Austin is so fine."

However, the whole story has been proven to be 100% fake, after an image of Bieber and Austin both kissing a fan on the cheek emerged on the net - proving the pic had been doctored.

GossipCop adds that Huzlers.com describes itself as a “combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief.”

While Justin and Austin are definitely NOT an item, the pair have been in the studio working on an "amazing song together".
