In a statement about Justin's film, Chu claimed: “Most people don’t know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age.”
As we previously reported, Oscar-winning director Guggenheim pulled out of the 3D project based on Bieber's life to promote his new documentary Waiting For Superman.
The film, which is said to be an Eminem 8 Mile style biopic is due for release next Valentines Day weekend and will star 16-year old Justin as himself.
