And obviously, pandemoniumensued.

We knew Justin was a rulebreaker, but surelyhe's not a monster. And we were right to have our suspicions, as the real sideways burrito eater has finally stood up.

The pranksters behind the whole thing revealed in a video on their Yes Theory YouTube channel that the picture was staged with the very deliberate purpose of it going viral.

'We Fooled the Internet w/ Fake Justin Bieber Burrito Photo', they boldly titled the vid as they outed themselves as the masterminds behind the whole thing.

They enlisted the help of a very convincing Justin lookalike, Brad Sousa, to pose as him "doing unusual things in public."

And their goal of causing utter hysteria was well and truly achieved.

Justin is yet to break his silence on the scandal, but his manager Scooter Braun has spoken out on the matter over on Instagram.

He told the Yes Theory guys: "You can't prank a prankster," as he revealed he was totally on to them before they even outed themselves.

Buthe's luckily he's living for the prank regardless: "Well done to the@yestheoryguys... but you can never prank a prankster... as for everyone else... 🤦🏻‍♂️#itisnotJustin," he wrote.

So now we know the picture isn't Justin, we still have so many unanswered questions about how the singer REALLY eats his burrito.

Come on Justin, it's time to fess up so we can all sleep easy again.
