When Justin Bieber decided to cancel all future meet and greets on his Purpose world tour, opinion was definitely divided.

But now, it seems that the whole situation has gotten slightly ridiculous, as fans have ended up still forking out $2,000 without even meeting Justin – because otherwise they end up losing their tickets entirely.

Yep, over the weekend, pictures started circling around Twitter of Beliebers snapping selfies with a cardboard cutout of Justin.

But before you assume that fans really reckon that that sort of ‘meet and greet’ is worth a couple thousand, it turns out that if they had opted for a refund (which surely they all deserve), they would’ve have lost their seats for Justin’s actual show.

Slightly insane, right?

In ascreenshot of an emailtaken by a fan, it states that by choosing to get your money back on the Purpose VIP package, you’ll also be ‘forfeiting your ticket’ in the process.
