Star is accused of tagging the outside wall of the building illegally in Brazil...

Justin Bieber has reportedly been charged with illegally [uuid=1f96c9c8-7fc9-413b-941a-2b27a8bbaf94]spraying graffiti[/uuid] on a hotel wall in Brazil.

Earlier this week, snaps emerged online of JB spray painting outside the Hotel Nacional in Rio, wearing a baseball cap and jeans - with The Mirror reporting that he caught the attention of the police.

The officers have since sent the case to the Special criminal court - known was JECrim - which deals with minor offences, and if found guilty, Bieber faces a fine.

The newspaper adds that local reports suggest Justin was granted a licence to paint on a wall in the tourist area of Vila Olimpica do Vidigal, but following a visit to the authorised site on Monday (November 4), he decided to graffiti somewhere else the next day.

Cops later quizzed Bieber over the complaint, with the 19-year old sending one of his personal minders to deal with the issue at the police station.

Antonio Ricardo - of the city’s Civil Police - stated yesterday: “The musician does not have permission from the owner of the site to do the paintings.”

The hotel in question has since painted over Justin's tags.

When asked about the matter, a spokesperson for Bieber said the singer had "no comment".
