The highly anticipatedChristmas number one raceis usually a toss up between The X Factor winner's single and an obscure alternative campaign, but this year couldn't be more different.

The battleis on between Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ and the Greenwich NHS Choir’s ‘Bridge Over You’ (a mash-up of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ and Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’).

Biebs is truly feeling to holiday spirit as he took to Twitter to throw his own chances of the Christmas Number One and urge his loyal fans to support the charity single instead.

Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun alerted the singer and his collaborator, Ed Sheeran, to how close the race was by tweeting an Official Charts report yesterday (Wednesday 23rd December).

It didn’t take long for The Biebs himself to tweet about the close race and urge his fans to “do the right thing” this Christmas…

We weren’t sure we could love Bieber anymore but now he’s just proved all of us wrong and we’re even more obsessed.
