Justin Bieber Not Performing In North Korea

The poll to send Bieber to the communist nation was a hoax...

Justin Bieberwill not be bringing his My World Tour to North Korea after he was a victim of yet another internet hoax.

As we previously reported, a website called Faxo.com asked fans of the Somebody To Love singer where he should tour next and North Korea proved to be the most popular choice with 650,000 votes.

Pranksters 4chan have been blamed for the joke after encouraging people to send Bieber to the communist nation where citizens are denied internet access and the media is controlled by the government.

Bieber's camp have strongly denied that Justin will be performing for leader Kim Jong-il in North Korea, after claiming that despite the country winning the vote: "It was a spoof site. This is not a legitimate contest."

A spokesperson for Bieber's record label, Universal has also told BBC News that the poll on the site was a hoax and declined to give any further comments.

This is not that the first time that Bieber, who was recently named as the most searched person online has been the victim of an internet hoax after he was even rumoured to have died - proving to be another false story.
