Justin Bieber Two Hours Late For London Gig
It was a case of 'Bieber late than never' at the O2 Arena last night...
Justin Bieber's sold-out show at London's O2 Arena last night (March 4) had the potential to be a dream come true for his fans.
With a stellar support line-up including Carly Rae Jepsen, die-hard Beliebers chanting his name and a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday to celebrate the teen idol's 19th - the scene was set for a magical night.
However, one thing was missing... Justin Bieber himself. The deafening screams soon turned into boos and chants of his name were transformed into anxious children wondering when and even if the pop prince would ever grace the stage.
Michael Jacksonsong filled the arena.
After reportedly making his entrance a whole two hours late, fans finally laid eyes on JB as he floated into the O2 wearing a huge pair of angel wings, an impressive way to kick off the show, but it was just too little, too late.
While many tried to stick to their 'Bieber late than never' motto, some parents were forced to leave the gig after just one song, after Justin came on stage at 10.20pm - past many tired fan's (and MTV reporters) bedtimes.
JB then powered through hits such as One Time, Eenie Meanie and Somebody To Love like the delay had never happened, showing off his swish dance moves and 'swag' - it's just a shame some never got to see the star in action.
It is currently unknown what caused Bieber's delayed entrance, with The Sun reporting that O2 staff had claimed it was "down to his management."
The Boyfriend singer himself is yet to comment on the delay, but the O2 said sorry on Twitter at 10.30pm, writing: "Justin Bieber is now on stage and apologises for the lateness of his show."
Reports have since suggested he could be hit with a £500,000 fine for running over the London venue's strict 11pm curfew time, with Entertainment Wise adding JB may have to pay £10,000 for every minute he kept his fans waiting.
While many angry fans and parents took to Twitter to express their disappointment in the late running of his show, a word has to be said about Justin's fans, The Beliebers.
He may have kept them waiting for hours, but they still sang along to every word, knew every dance routine and kept their promise of singing 'Happy Birthday' to their idol... All had been forgotten, especially when JB removed his shirt to reveal his toned torso.
However, we were left wondering one thing... Maybe someone should have got Justin a watch for his birthday?
