Justin Bieber visited cancer patients at a Liverpool hospital during his time in the city.
The U Smile superstar spent an hour talking to child cancer sufferers on the oncology ward of Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
Not surprisingly, a hospital spokesman said the surprise visit from the Canadian heartthrob had thrilled the young patients, who are all undergoing chemotherapy.
“When people like Justin Bieber take the time to come and visit our patients it gives them a tremendous boost and really cheers everyone up,” the spokesman told the BBC.
“Patients on the oncology ward undergo rigorous treatments and you can actually see in the children what a difference it makes to have a visitor they admire from the world of entertainment or sport.”
The 17-year-old star spoke in turn to each patient and their parents, before posing for photos and signing autographs.
He played Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Friday night, 11 March.
