A paparazzo involved in a high-speed car chase with Justin Bieber could be charged with several offences under a new law.
Earlier this month, JB was handed a speeding ticket for apparently going over 100mph in Los Angeles, with the 18-year old allegedly telling police he was trying to escape the paps.
Police were said to be in two minds whether to give Justin a ticket, with a source telling TMZ: "This was like a Princess Diana situation. It was not Bieber's fault."
The Boyfriend singer then reportedly filed a harassment complaint against the paparazzo.
TMZ has since reported that the California Highway Patrol (CHP) has suggested to the LA City Attorney that the snapper should be charged under the anti-paparazzi law, which prohibits photographers from endangering the public when trying to get their snaps of the stars.
The website claims that the CHP has also recommended that the pap be handed a second charge for reckless driving.
If he is charged and convicted of the above offences, the photographer will be the first person to be charged under the anti-paparazzi law and could face a year behind bars.
In other Justin Bieber news, the teen idol has admitted that while he may have been "an accident", he has a great relationship with his mother Pattie Mallette - who gave birth to him aged just 18.
He told 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show: "She’s amazing... I was definitely an accident, it’s great my mom is super young, she’s a friend and a mom, she’s always been really strict, she’s still keeps me in line."
The Biebster also hit the headlines this week for sparking split rumours from his girlfriend Selena Gomez, declaring his love for actress Emma Stone on Twitter.
