Justin Bieber may have had a few brushes with the law this year, but it looks like he made Santa's "nice" list in the end.

We don't know how else to explain the fact that the 20-year-old star got a private jet for Christmas - or how Santa managed to fit it on his sleigh, come to think of it.

Posting a couple of snaps of his new pride and joy on Instagram, Biebs wrote: "New jet for Christmas, and she's beautiful."

It's not clear whether the extravagant "gift" was actually a treat to himself, as it's not the sort of thing you usually get as a surprise.

The interior of the aircraft looks super-plush, with shiny black walls, leather seats, gold cushions and - ahem - a bearded man, all featured in Bieber's snap.

No overhead lockers though and the aisle looks a bit tight for a drinks trolley.
