Kaiser Chiefs: "Girls Aloud Cover is Embarrassing"
Do the Chiefs like GA's version of their most famous tune? Er...
The Leeds warbler is peed off that the girls didn't ask permission to adopt the tune AND that they changed the lyrics.
The ladies, who regularly perform the raucous indie anthem during their live shows, tweak the line "girls run around with no clothes on to borrow a pound for a condom" to "girls run around with no clothes on to borrow a pound for the bus stop".
And Wilson ain't happy. "I dont give a sh*t (about them covering the song) if they dont change the words. They did change the words," he told MTV UK News.
"The thing is about Girls Aloud. They do sexy dancing, its all sex(but) they didnt say 'condom'. They said bus stop. What? Its illegal, Girls Aloud. We are after you!"
But while he's no fan of GA's tribute he likes the fact Lily Allen covered 'Oh My God', another one of the band's biggest hits
"Lily Allen asked permission," he said, "Girls Aloud didnt - and they changed the words. Its embarrassing, people think we've been asked It was even on Jonathan Ross the other day."
And now the Kaisers want revenge.
"Im gonna cover a Girls Aloud song and change all their words, but make them really filthy," he said.
We can't wait...
