Ricky Kaisers Almost Killed in Leeds

Oh my God it was a hit and run in his hometown...

Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs is the luckiest man alive, after escaping death in a hit and run in Leeds over the weekend, according to the band.
The flamboyant lead singer, famed for his jumps on stage, is said to have avoided certain tragedy by doing one of his trademark leaps when a car struck him as he crossed on a green pedestrian light in his hometown on Sunday night (May 21).
By jumping, Wilson was flipped over the top of the car and escaped with just a broken toe and bruising.
"He's the luckiest man alive, because he is still alive, reads a posting on the Chiefs website, it sounds daft, but a 'Ricky trademark jump' has probably saved his life. The jump meant he was flipped over the top of the car, hitting the windscreen, rather than getting trapped under it.
"He was crossing on a green pedestrian light. Whether it was a joyrider, wreckless driving or drunk driving we still don't know.
"Police are investigating - we'd like to thank the witnesses that have come forward so far."
