Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Get Involved In Kanye West's Donald Trump Drama

At least Kim Kardashian is still game for their double dinner date on Friday.

Just when you thought the drama involving Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Donald Trump couldn't get any messier, it's time toslip into some protective clothing because John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have become very much involved.

It looks like John Legend decided to send Kanye a text following his pro-Trump tweets, and in turn, Kanye posted the screenshots to Twitter.

Take a look at MTV News for all you NTK about the Kanye West-Donald Trump Twitter saga...

Oh, the betrayal.

John's message read: "Hey it's JL. I hope you'll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You're way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump's policies cause, especially to people of color. Don't let this be part of your legacy. You're the greatest artist of our generation."

To which Kanye replied: "I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought."

While John himself kept schtum on social media about it all, we'll give you two guesses who couldn't help but react.

Yup, you got it, Chrissy Teigen.

The model piped up on Twitter, taking a bit of a swipe at Kanye for bringing the conversation over to the social media platform, writing: "When it comes to people we know, we DO speak up. To THEM. not on Twitter. And sometimes, I guess it makes it to Twitter."

Kanye then shared a further screen shot of the progression of the conversation and justified his decision, tweeting: "I really appreciate this dialogue with John Legend because I'm actually very empathetic. Im still the kid from the telethon. I feel when people think of MAGA they don't think of empathy [sic]."

West then shared the love, dropping in a little shoutout to John Legend's new single.

Chrissy then came in with the social media bants we all love her for, jokingly asking Kim Kardashian if they're still on for dinner on Friday.

Kim's still game, under one condition: no phones.

Probs for the best.
