Jay-Z & Kanye Experiment With Dubstep On New LP
A track on Watch The Throne sees the duo try out the electro-dance genre...
Jay-Z and Kanye Westare said to have experimented with dubstep on their forthcoming collaboration LP, Watch The Throne.
According to singer-songwriter Verse Simmons, the rap duo contacted him to work of their eagerly anticipated new record - which is due for release on 1st August.
Speaking to our US Team about hooking-up producer Sham Joseph to create music for Yeezy and Jigga, Simmons explained: "What we did is, we locked in a week, we just went crazy on everything Jay and Kanye."
He added: "I remember telling Sham, I was like, 'Yo, I think this dubstep stuff is going to be the next new flavour that everybody gotta be on. It gotta have a hip-hop feel to it still'."
Jay and West's dubstep style tune, entitled Who Gon Stop Me, appears as the final track on Watch The Throne, and is reportedly heavily inspired by electronic dance music.
Earlier this week, Kanye and Jigga premiered another track from their LP, Otis, which features a sample of the Otis Redding classic, Try A Little Tenderness.
