Kanye - 'Bush Doesn't Care About Black People'

Kanye hits out at George Bush on live TV

Kanye West shocked US TV audiences on Friday night when he hit out at George Bushs response to Hurricane Katrina.
The rapper was taking part in a televised benefit concert in New York when he broke off from the script and declared: "George Bush doesnt care about black people." Mike Myers, who was standing next to him, looked uncomfortable as West proceeded to accuse the administration and media of racism.
He claimed the US was set up "to help the poor, the black people, the less well-off as slow as possible." He then went on to add: "I hate the way they portray us in the media. If you see a black family, it says theyre looting. See a white family, it says theyre looking for food."
Despite being broadcast with a time delay, Wests comments made it out in the East coast broadcast, although after mentioning Bush he was quickly cut off, with cameras hurriedly switching to a surprised Chris Tucker. The rappers comments were cut entirely from the taped version broadcast on the West coast.
