Kanye West Announces First Solo Tour In Five Years

Kanye West has announced a string of US tour dates today.

 

The rapper revealed the news on Twitter, pointing out that this will be his first run of solo shows since he hit the road with his Glow In The Dark tour back in 2008.

 

 

West will kick off the tour in Seattle next month, performing 23 shows in seven weeks across the US.

 

As yet there is no word on whether the tour will extend beyond December or take in other international territories.

 

Kanye has most recently toured alongside his good friend Jay Z in support of their collaborative album Watch The Throne.

 

The pair played shows in 2011 and 2012 across both North America and Europe.

 

Kanye West released his sixth studio album Yeezus in June of this year, which took out the number one spot on both the US and UK charts.

 

Tickets for the Yeezus tour go on sale from Friday, September 13.
