The rapper’s record- which is rumoured to be called Dark Twisted Fantasy- was originally scheduled for release next month.

But in an online chat with fans he said the release had now been put back to later in the year.

In the same stream Weezy also said he was listening to Trent Reznor and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke for inspiration.

And he said a second single from his new album would be out “in around 20 days” called either Lost In The World or All Of The Lights.

Late last week Kanye also released a spectacular promo clip for his Power single- which is directed by visual artist Marco Brambilla.

The star recently joined Twitter and has now has over 500,000 followers. In a recent Tweet he thanked his fans, saying:

“Yo I'm getting a thousand new followers every 15 minutes on a Sunday night Wowzers!!! Thank you this has been an amazing day so far.”
