Kanye West Hints At 'Yeezus' Repackage

Kanye West has teased that he could release a repackaged version of his current Yeezus LP.

During an interview on Los Angeles' Power 106 FM, the Mercy rapper said that he has five outtakes from the Yeezus sessions that he would like to release in the next few months. 

West has already performed one of the unreleased songs, I Am Not Here, during the Yeezus tour, but he said there's more where that came from.

"Like five songs didn't make it on Yeezus that we might put out before the end of this year," he said after being asked about how he decides which songs to release and which ones he pushes "delete" on.

"For people that didn't like Yeezus when it first came out: it's a simple thing that I could've done to make them like it more that I chose not to do," he said of fans who haven't taken to the more challenging sounds on the album. 

"I could've put Blood on the Leaves at the beginning of the album, which is what I always do. It's like Good Morning at the beginning. Say You Will. Dark Fantasy. It's a certain type of melody that I usually have that's like, 'If you put this at the beginning of the album...' "

Back in June, legendary producer Rick Rubin said that there were originally 16 songs recorded for Yeezus and that when Kanye called him in to work on the disc he had thoughts about what belonged on the final version right away.

"But that first day, before he even asked me to work on it, I said, 'Maybe you should make it more concise. Maybe this is two albums," Rubin said. 

"Maybe this is just the first half." That, apparently, is exactly what 'Ye had in mind, since Rubin said the rapper responded, "That's what I came here today to hear! It could be 10 songs!"

West - who recently proposed to Kim Kardashian - also hit the headlines today after hitting back at his critics during a rant at his Yeezus tour show in LA last night (October 29).
