Kanye West Postpones Australian Tour Dates To Work On LP

Yeezy has been forced to move the shows to September so he can finish his next studio album...

Kanye West has postponed the Australian leg of his Yeezus tour to work on a new album.

The Bound 2 hitmaker was due to start his jaunt Down Under in Perth on May 2, with the shows having to take a back seat so Kanye can work on some fresh material.

West will now hit the road in September, which will see him plays dates in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Yeezus tour promoter Live Nation confirmed in a statement: "Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia."

Kanye - who is due to marry socialite Kim Kardashian on May 24 - will visit the UK in July, where he will headline Wireless Festival across the weekend of July 4-6.
