Kanye West Tells Media He's Not A 'Dumb-Ass' In Concert Rant

The rapper has addressed the stories reporting he demanded a wheelchair bound fan to stand up recently...

Kanye West brought his headline-making tour to a close in Australia last night, making one final speech against the media.

The rapper's rant follows backlash he received after demanding a fan to stand up during his show on Friday, not realising he was in a wheelchair and not apologising after.

"Pick a new target, 'cause I'm not one of these dumb-ass artists that you're used to," West said at his Brisbane concert.

He claimed that the media will ignore important issues such as unarmed people being shot by police and kids being killed in chicago, yet will write about "Kanye West buying ice cream" and jet-skiing squirrels.

West went on to tell the audience that he's a "true artist", before adding: "I'm a married, Christian man with a family. At my concerts I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible."

His wife Kim Kardashian took to Instagram recently to defend her hubby over the incident, claiming the media lied about the situation.

"It's frustrating that something so awesome could be clouded by lies in the media," she explained.
