Kanye West To Premiere Famous Video Tomorrow And Will Charge Fans For The Pleasure
It'll probably be worth it though...
NEW YEEZY ALERT! Kanye West is set to unveil the video for his single ‘Famous’ on Friday (June 24).
The first track to get the video treatment from The Life Of Pablo, ‘Famous’ features Rihanna, and also samples both Nina Simone and Sister Nancy. In our (humble) opinion, that latter sample was one of the best bits on the entire album. Don’t pretend that you weren’t singing “bam bam” to yourself in the shower too. Don’t lie to yourself.
The video will make its debut at a premiere event at the LA Forum in Inglewood, California. Kanye just doesn’t do half measures, does he?
Unfortunately, the event is ticketed. So for those lucky enough to live in California in the first place, they will need to pay for the pleasure.
Following the premiere, the video for ‘Famous’ will be streamed exclusively on Tidal for one week. After that, it’s safe to assume that you’ll be able to view it elsewhere.
What will actually feature in the video is anyone’s guess. If there’s a spectrum for Kanye videos - which end will this new visual for 'Famous' lean towards? The ‘Runaway’ end of that spectrum? Or the ‘Bound 2’ end? We’ll find out tomorrow. Whatever happens, it won’t be boring.
