Kanye West has won a lawsuit against the creators of cryptocurrency Coinye Bitcoin.

Back in January, Yeezy instructed lawyers to shut down thevirtual currency, with his team issuing a cease-and-desist letter to the anonymous creators of the parody coins.

The letter, which was obtained by the Wall Street Journal, stated: "Given Mr. West’s wide-ranging entrepreneurial accomplishments, consumers are likely to mistakenly believe that Mr. West is the source of your services."

However, a trademark-infringement lawsuit was later filed, which forced creators to drop the service.

Mr Kim Kardashian later won the case by default after some of the creators failed to respond to the lawsuit, while three of them settled with Yeezy.
