Kasabian have announced a one-off gig in Newport.

The mighty Leicester outfit will take to the stage at the Newport Centre in South Wales on June 21, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The gig is the day this years Glastonbury, for which Kasabian are one of the headliners, so the Newport date will be a nice Glasto warm up for them.

All proceeds from the gig will go towards Teenage Cancer Trust building the first Welsh unit at the University Hospital of Wales. "It's great we can support Teenage Cancer Trust and help them make a difference," said singer Tom Meighan.

"After meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at the Albert Hall gig, it really made us want to do more and this show will help the cause, we hope to do more with TCT in the future."
