Celebrities Respond To Royal Baby News

Famous well wishers send their congratulations via Twitter...

Celebrities have been sending their congratulations to Prince William and Kate Middleton after the royal couple announced that they are expecting their first child together.

Twitter has been abuzz with chatter about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's good news - with Cheryl Cole, Olly Murs, David Walliams, Rochelle Wiseman and TOWIE cast members among the well wishers.

Chezza wrote: "I'm sooooooo excited that we're having a royal baby !!!! Congratulations to Kate and Wills !!!!!!"

Olly tweeted: "Cool #royalbaby that's amazing news!! Dam it how comes they never mentioned it on the XTRA Factor last week haha."

And Vernon Kay wrote: "Congrats Wills and Kate....Great news.The calpol is in the post."

David Walliams played it straight by tweeting: "Congratuwelldone William and Kate. Very happy for you both. Dx"

While his fellow comedian Al Murray went for a laugh instead with: "I think Wills and Kate need to watch it with all the Union Jacks and that or social services'll have that baby off them pronto #satire."

Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays, who recently announced her own pregnancy, said: "Ahhhh yayyy Kate Middleton is pregnant ♥congrats xx"

And Katherine Jenkins wrote: "What lovely news!! Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge!! #PitterPatter."
