Kate Winslet Gets Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Titanic star 'very honoured' to be 'celebrated in such a spectacular fashion'...
Kate Winslet has been honoured with her own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
The actress was presented with the 2,520th star before an audience of fans and former co-stars in Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old told the crowd: "I believe that so many great young aspiring actors first stepped off the bus with the hope of embarking on a film career from this very spot we all stand in today.
"I feel very honoured 20 years into my own career to be standing in such a poignant place and being celebrated in such a spectacular fashion".
She added that she was 'overwhelmed' by the turnout as it came hours after the area was rocked by a 4.4 magnitude earthquake which she admitted had frightened her 'quite a lot'.
Kate's Titanic co-star Kathy Bates was among those who attended the ceremony, reports E! Online.
She joked to the gathered crowd: "Even though stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame sometimes get a little dirty with a little poo or whatever, what will last is your wonderful beautiful films, characters that you've played that have stolen our hearts. Nobody can ever poo on those."
