Kate Winslet has reportedly married boyfriendNed RocknRoll in a secret ceremony.

According to The Sun, the British actress tied the knot earlier this month to Ned - the nephew of Virgin boss Richard Branson - and even the happy couple's parents were unaware.

The paper claims just a select handful of close friends were invited to the "really romantic, private ceremony", and one of the lucky few was Kate's Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, who gave away the blushing bride.

A source told The Sun: "They had been planning it for a while. They are both so happy and very much in love. Kate is very private and didn't want anyone to know.

"She asked if Leo would give her away because they are best friends."

Winslet met Ned - who changed his name from Abel Smith - on Branson's private Caribbean hideaway Necker Island last year, and friends insist the couple had been talking marriage for a couple of months.

One pal said: "Kate has never looked so happy. Since she and Ned got together it has been full steam ahead.

"Marriage has always been on the cards and they've been talking about doing it for the last couple of months."

Ned is Kate's third husband - the A-lister was previously married to Jim Threapleton and Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes.

Winslet's spokeswoman confirmed that the actress had married in New York.
